Meet the Creators
Author Roxann D'Andrea-McCullagh and Illustrator Jeffrey J. McCullagh are the creative minds behind the "Fuzzball Buddies" series. They are both dedicated to helping at-risk animals. They donate regularly to various animal welfare and rescue organizations and are the proud parents of three rescue dogs.
Inspired by pets they have owned in the past, this husband-and-wife team wanted to honor their memories and get children interested in reading. Each of the four characters in the book has the personality traits and nicknames of their pets, whose photos and associated illustrated characters you can see above.
Since the first book was published in early May 2019, Roxann and Jeffrey have received positive feedback from both children and adults. Because of this, they foresee adding new stories to the series for a long time.
